She is survived by: her children, James Mack Gerkin II (Jodi) of Orleans, Indiana and Holly H. Burton Hoffman (Dan) of Mount Pleasant, Michigan; her grandchildren, Burton Kimble Gerkin of Bloomington, Duncan James Gerkin of Orleans, Jacqulin Hannah Gerkin of Orleans, Julia Elyse Hoffman of East Lansing and Carter Daniel Hoffman of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan.; her brother Dr. Franklin W. Burton (Dee) of Bloomfield, Indiana.; her goddaughter Emily Paige Wegner Phelan (Brendon); Sheila, Amanda and Emily.
When COVID-19 arrived in 2020, life on the farm changed dramatically.
