He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Eckenberger and Juanita Eckenberger (Trittipo). He is survived by: his spouse Doiles J. Eckenberger (Dye); his children, Norma Waterman (Jim) of South Bend and James Eckenberger (Mindy) of Mishawaka; his grandchildren, Kayla, Nicole, Jasmine of Mariah, JD, Brittany, Ryan and Josh; and his siblings, Dennis Eckenberger (Mary) of Clearwater, Janice Conlon of South Bend, Terry Eckenberger of Ft. Myers, John Aydelotte of Poplar Bluff and Tom Bolinger (Pat) of South Bend. He is also survived by twenty great grandchildren.

Contributions in memory of Emil Eckenberger may be given to the family for final expenses.
