She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard C. Hamman and Beatrice Hamman; and her brother Richard H. Hamman (Dianne). She is survived by: her spouse Thomas Lee Stemes; her children, Cassandra Stemes of Mishawaka, Jennifer Murrmann (William) of Elkhart, Kimberly Hale (Brandon) of Mishawaka and Thomas Stemes, Jr. (Amanda) of Osceola; her grandchildren, Melony Murrmann, Hilary Juarez (Louis), Noah Murrmann, Karissa Bennett (Eddie), Christian Stemes, Sarah and Dallas Hale; and her great grandchild Parker Nicodemus.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Karen's memory.
