She was predeceased by: her parents, Ellie Nash and Mary Nash; and her siblings, Willie Nash and Patricia Patrick. She is survived by: her husband Roy Walter; her daughter Rana Walton (Kevin) of Mishawaka; her granddaughters, Kylie Bordner (Evan) and Sophia Walton; her sister Sue Bingaman (Glenn); and her nephews, Cory Patrick (Robin), Wade Patrick (Janice) and Jeff Nash (Lynn).

In her memory, donations may be made to the Faith Mission or the St. Joseph County Humane Society.
