He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur McDonald and Sadie McDonald (Linback); his wife Edna Marie Behnke; his sons, Donald McDonald and Ronald McDonald Jr.; and his siblings, Clark McDonald and Linda Phillips.
He is survived by: his daughter Penny J. Kidder (Kent); his daughter-in-law Deborah McDonald of Osceola; his grandchildren, Ronald L "Chad" McDonald III (Kim), Justin McDonald (Tiffany), Miles Kidder and Chase Kidder; and his great grandchildren, Elisecia, Madisyn and Dylan McDonald.
A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Cruz Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service (1109 Lincolnway W, Osceola, IN 46561). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
