He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin M. Base and Reatha J. Base (Carpenter); and his brother Mark Base. He is survived by: his wife Deanne Cripe; his daughter Sarah Rueda; his grandsons, Braden and Isaac Rueda; and his siblings, Rick Base (Marilyn), Gary Base (Deb) and Hope Ort (Rick).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Riley's Hospital for Children. In his memory, donations may be made to Pet Refuge.
