She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Hodge and Elsie Hodge (Versmesse); her daughters, Donna Lynn and Diane Louise; her grandson Rob Melton III; and her sister Judy Manges.
She is survived by: her husband Fred; her children, Kay White, Wendy Melton (Rob), Jay Carlson (Brenda) and Kile Carlson (Kathy); and her brothers, Jim Hodge (Gwen) and Roy Hodge. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Palmer Funeral Home - Welsheimer North (17033 Cleveland Rd, South Bend, IN 46635). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer/Dementia Foundation, and or Elkhart East Christian Church.
