Carter of Osceola, Indiana, born in Mishawaka, Indiana, who passed away on October 19, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Carter and Mary Carter (Quier); his siblings, William A., Pinckney G., George Carter, Iris Butler, Elnora Bryan, Zelda Rodgers, Mary Geans, Verna Lefler, Elizabeth McIntire, Marsca Serane and Jacqueline Love; and his grandson Christopher Patton.
He is survived by: his spouse Shirley D. Heckman; his children, Kent Alan Carter (Dawn) of Philadelphia and Stacy Dombrowsky (Bill) of Michigan City, Indiana.; and his grandchildren, Katherine Carter, Matthew Carter (Stephanie), Keith Carter (Marley), Kelsey Carter and Kayleigh Marlin (Caleb). He is also survived by friends and family.
