She was predeceased by: her parents, Hubert "Jerry" N. Wheeler and Clara Wheeler (Wasson); her husband Don; and her siblings, Kelly Wheeler and Nancy Schooley.
She is survived by: her children, Jill A. Engle of Fort Wayne, Tim Engle (Michelle) of Bluffton and Janet Leiser of Burlington; her grandchildren, Shaye Higgins (Dustin), Shelby Fisher (Kyle), Sadie Silva (Pedro), Lindsey Kaplan (Max) and Jake Leiser; her great grandchildren, Ryker Engle, Granger Higgins, Cambrie Higgins, Emmalyn Higgins, Braxtyn Higgins and Clara Kaplan; and her sister Kay Wheeler of Fort Wayne.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Lemler Funeral Home (308 W Washington St, Bluffton, IN 46714). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
