Eugene left this world on September 25, 2025 at the age of 88, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his children, Sandy, Annetta, Jeff and Travis; his grandsons, Shaun and Trevor; his great grandchildren, Landyn and Hope; and his brothers, Jack, Edward, David Gick and Steve Gick.
He is survived by: his wife Bev (Harbolt) of Patrick's Catholic Church; his children, Gayle Martin (Randy), Theresa Reed (Bob) and Kyle Gick; his grandchildren, Chris, Brandon, Nathan, Nicole, Craig, Christie, Courtney, Wesley, Tyler, Jeffrey, Shelby, Kyler, Kolton, Kiersten and Lyle; and his siblings, Judy Jesse, Merle Gick (Kay), Donna Kendal (Donald), James Gick, Larry Gick (Chris), Dian Lanie, Debbie Barker (David) and Nicholas Gick. He is also survived by 31 Great-Grandchildren, 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Shoemaker Funeral Home (26 S Main St, Otterbein, IN 47970). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
