It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Arbutus Higdon of Otwell, Indiana, who passed away on February 26, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lonnie Blackburn and Ollie Blackburn (Jenne); her husband James A. Higdon; her son Robert Dale Higdon; and her siblings, Kenneth Blackburn, Rentice, Prentice, Alvin Blackburn, Donella Cummins and Shirley McClanahan.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda Stilwell (Melton) of Petersburg, Roger Higdon (Kim) of Loogootee, Charles Higdon (Mary Thrasher) of Otwell and Jerry Higdon of Iva; her grandchildren, Amanda Woods, Clint Lloyd (Devin), Shaun Beckett (Melanie), Jessica Higdon, Doug Williams (Harley), Dustin Williams (Brittany) and Dalton Higdon; her great grandchildren, Chloe Kelly, Oliver, Jameson Lloyd, Kateri, Elias Beckett, Ezra Higdon, Rhyder, Easton Williams, Sophie, Weston and Elizah Williams; her siblings, Alice Prior of Huntingburg, Barbara Huffman of Otwell and Jerry Blackburn (Fredia) of Ft. Mohave, AZ; and her sister-in-law Pauline Higdon of Louisville. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
