He is survived by: his wife Rachelle Shelby; his children, Steven Shelby (Rusty), Kathy Shelby and Alex Patton (Bree); his siblings, Donna Ruhaak, John Dykes, Susan Gray, Betty-Jo Owens and Tammie Foster; and his sister-in-law Amanda Bearden (Chad). He is also survived by eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.
