He was predeceased by : his father Robert Lee "Bob" Veit; his son William Robert Veit; his brother Ronald Robert "Ron" Veit; his grandparents, Ernest Carl Veit, Hazel Leslie Hodle Veit, Chester Rediger and Minnie Zimmerman Rediger; his parents-in-law, William Harold Tingle and Mary Helen Lehnert Tingle; and his brother-in-law John David Lucht.
He is survived by : his mother Betty L. Rediger Veit of Madison, Indiana; his wife Rita Jo Tingle Veit of Owensville, Indiana; his daughter Amanda Veit Cooper (Ray) of Washington; his grandchildren, Dalton Veit, Tristin Koberstein and Kyle Cooper; and his sisters-in-law, Sherry Lucht of Henderson and Nancy Grant (Steve) of Madison, Indiana. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Gary Veit Remembrance Fund or the Jefferson County Youth Shelter.
