He was predeceased by : his parents, John Padgett and Pearl McBride Padgett; his former life partner Jean Hooten; his children, Scott and Pamela Weikert; and his siblings, Richard "Dick" Padgett and Helen Atkinson.

He is survived by : his children, Randy Weikert Paoli (Lori) and Shawn; his grandchildren, Ryan Padgett, Gabrial Drake, Joshua Drake, Brady Chastain, Chris Weikert, Shannon Jan Chastain, Stephanie Drake, Jonathan Padgett and Logan Weikert; and his great grandchildren, Jericho Drake, Ayden, Asa Drake, Sawyer Hoffman and Deacon Padgett.
