We are sad to announce that on February 3, 2026, at the age of 68, Rex Wayne Stewart of Paoli, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Cecil Stewart. He is survived by: his mother Mary Stewart (Padgett); his wife Sharon Stewart (Hazelwood); his children, Jonathan Stewart, Noelle Stewart, Joseph S. Shawler, Jon C. Shawler, Brandy Gerkin, Kerri Barnes and Melanie Gehl; his grandchildren, Keighen, Kennedy, Kash Shawler, Felicity, Natalie Shawler, Jayla Brewer and Elaina Gerkin; and his siblings, Gary, Danny, Kenneth Blevins, Patricia Jones, Max Stewart, Sandra Hammond and Mike Stewart. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 10th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM at the McAdams Mortuary (500 SW 1st St, Paoli, IN 47454). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 10th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
