We bid farewell to Ruth A. Andis of Paoli, Indiana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 8, 2026 at the age of 85. Ruth touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold V McClean and Lanora M. McClean (Karnes); her spouse Jesse A. Andis; her son Randy Jessie; and her sister Dorothy Payton.
She is survived by: her daughters, Debbie Wilson (Steve), Lynn Chowning, Sherri Patton (Richie) and Sandy Padgett (Fred) of Paoli; her grandchildren, Ben Wilson (Lindsay), Emily Clark (Matthew), Brian Wilson (Mekenna), Sarah Williamson, Stacy Tackett (Josh), Matthew Warner (Taylor), Dalton Chowning (Brianna), Jennifer Patton, Greg Couch (Samantha), Amanda White (Andy), Ryan Jessie (Nikki), Elizabeth Jessie and Alyssa Vaughan (Steven); her great grandchildren, Logan, Caleb Wilson, Jax, Ellis, Brynne Wilson, Haleigh, Olivia Williamson, Jordan Tackett, Cullen, Brinley, Amelia, Deagen Warner, Ellie Chowning, Kahlia Patton, Draken, Norah Couch, Abigail, Ayden White, Tyler, Cameron Jessie and Ellie Vaughan; her daughter-in-law Rhonda Jessie; her sister Carol Cooper; her half-sister Pat Buford; and her pet Daisy Mae.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM and on Wednesday, January 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the McAdams Mortuary (500 SW 1st St, Paoli, IN 47454). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 14th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
