He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh E. Smith and Virginia Mae Smith (Bright). He is survived by: his wife Linda Smith (Pettigrew); his sons, Neal Smith (Jennifer) and Scott Smith (Mindy); his sisters, Candy Small (Steve) and Cheryl Jones (Randy); his grandchildren, Mitchell Smith (Courtney), Mason Smith (Abbi), Miller Smith (Maddie), Kaeden Smith (Nation Poske) and Khyla Smith; his great grandchildren, Wesley, Carter and Grayson; and his close friend Bob Hennis. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bozell Funeral Homes and Crematory, Lahm Chapel (211 E State St, Pendleton, IN 46064). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Book Hotel Bozell Funeral Homes and Crematory, Lahm Chapel (211 E State St, Pendleton, IN 46064).
