He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Chaney and Maxine Chaney; his parents-in-law, Jack and Billie Jean Ward; his grandson Gabe Grubbs; his sister Lynne Ann; his brother-in-law Jim King; his nieces, Tina Stanley and Summer Nicole Ray; and his brother-in-law Rick Wise.
He is survived by: his wife Terri Chaney; his daughter Traci Grubbs (Garrett); his grandchildren, Caleb Grubbs and Chaney Grubbs; his sisters-in-law, Peggy Wise and Kathy Ray (Bruce); his nieces and nephews, Bryan King, LeeAnne Fisher, Tyler Wise, Evan Wise, Jordan Wise, Austin Ray and Ashley Faller; and his friends, Donnie Teeters and Dan Bauer. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 22nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Bozell Funeral Homes and Crematory, Lapel Chapel (1010 Main St., Lapel, Indiana 46051). A memorial service was held on Saturday, August 22nd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
