He was predeceased by: his parents, Sammy L. Sams and Barbara A. Sams (Jumps); his nephews, Sean Sams and Kendall Sams; and his uncle Dick Sams.
He is survived by: his fiancée Penny Swider of Perrysville; his daughter Michelle Ann Sams (Ryan Baker) of Endeavor, Wisconsin; his brothers, Donnie Sams (Mona Heger) of Brooksville and David Sams (Rose) of Danville; his aunt Nancy Sams of Chrisman; and his grandchildren, Clayton Shirley (Abby Harms) of Minonk, IL, Payton Shirley, Ava-Rae Sams and Caleb Baker of Endeavor, Wisconsin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
