Cheryl Whittenberger Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Cheryl Whittenberger of Peru, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 11, 2025 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Leroy Conklin and Dorothy Bakehorn; her husband Gene Whittenberger; her daughter Tina Adkins; and her brother Ronald.

She is survived by: her siblings, Dennis Conklin, Greg Conklin, Donald Bakehorn, Dale Bakehorn, Ray Bakehorn, Basil Bakehorn, Mike Bakehorn, Vicki, Harriet and Nancy; and her grandchildren, Travis Adkins, Jane Marcum, Sue Phillips, Cheryl Mallow and Barb Oaks.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Riverview Funeral Home (421 W Canal St, Peru, IN 46970).
