He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth Ann Boettjer; his parents, H. H. Boettjer and Berniece Boettjer; and his grandsons, Jason Forsythe and Scott Hoback.
He is survived by: his children, Teresa Irby, Kathy Agnoli (Marc), Scott Boettjer (Michelle) and Melissa Hoback; and his grandchildren, Joe Agnoli (Heather), Missy Chavous (Clayton), Fred Boettjer (Jenifer), Alan Agnoli (Ashley), Kayla Chalfant (Jason) and Leah Hoback. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
