With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jane Alice Slater of Peru, Indiana, who passed away on March 28, 2024 at the age of 62. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Charles Bender and Wilma Bender (Lawrence); her siblings, Gary Bender and Dana Starkey; and her brothers-in-law, William Green and Bruce Stokdyk.

She is survived by : her husband Ken Slater; her children, Matthew Rider (Shannon Strahlem) of Peru and Katherine Sluss (Zachary) of Peru; her grandchildren, Taylor Caldwell and Madison Sluss; her siblings, Mark Bender (Lisa) of Frankfort, Nancy Green of Peru and Cindy Stokdyk of Delphi; and her brother-in-law Max Starkey of Peru.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the family.
