With profound sadness, we say goodbye to John Kenneth Duty of Peru, Indiana, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Joe Duty and Henrietta Ann Oaks (McCann); his siblings, Joe Duty, Regina Runkle and Peggy Duty; and his daughter Linda Duty.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Debbie Olinger of Peru; his children, Joni Duty of Peru, Jesse Duty of South Carolina, Candy Duty of Marion, Crystal Stambaugh of Peru and Jennifer Shaffer (Stephen) of Peru; his siblings, Terry Duty of Peru, Allen Duty of Peru and Latina Hoagland (Robert) of Peru; and the mother of his children Rose Stambaugh. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home (105 W 3rd St, Peru, IN 46970). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 4:30 PM at the same location.
