He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Herman D. Saltz and Thelsa Lucille Schaffer Saltz; his siblings, Richard Saltz and Beverley Trower; his daughters, Diana Smith (Randy), Deborah Wortham (Dennis), Thelsa King (Jim) and Pamela Cain (Dean); his sister Barbara Bridegroom (Liz O'Donnell); his pets, Chico, Buffy, Lucy and Barney; and his wife Mollie.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Humane Society of Indianapolis and the Alzheimers Association.
