Ruth Evelyn Bowland Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Evelyn Bowland of Peru, Indiana, who passed away on September 3, 2023 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugh Smith and Martha Ginney Smith; her husband Ralph E. Bowland; and her grandson Chris Dennis. She is survived by: her children, Meredith Altman (Ivy) of Peru, Mary Dennis (Carl) of Peru and Cathy Middlesworth (Danny) of Swayzee; her grandchildren, Jason Altman (Valerie), Tonya Newhouse (Brent) and Elaine Sweet (Neil); her great grandchildren, Kelsey Ubel (Dillon), Haley Altman, Bryce Newhouse (Casey), Eric Altman, Caleb Newhouse (Marlie), Ellery Newhouse, Ashlyn Sweet and Brielle Sweet; and her great great grandchildren, Stella Ubel, Dylan Ubel, Jr., Waylon Ubel, Rivera Ubel, Katie Rose and Regan Newhouse. She is also survived by her family as a devoted wife to her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made through the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home to the Alzheimer's Association.
