She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Bennett and Margaret Lee Bennett (Ratcliff); her husband Bryant Dean Gesford; her siblings, Billy Bennett and Freida Loraine Cochran; and her grandson-in-law Brian Owens.
She is survived by: her children, Alvin "Howard" Long (Tina) of Peru, Warren Dale Long of Peru, Wanda Kay Radel (Bob) of Peru and Carmen Sue Peterka (Tony) of Dayton; her grandchildren, Andrew Radel (Debbie) of Peru, Missy Conner (John) of Peru, Erica Hammond (Travis) of Orlando, Bryan Long (Brooke) of Panama City Beach, Mandy Armstrong (Ernest) of Peru, Evan Long of Peru and Kelly Dale of Dayton; her siblings, Bobby Bennett and Ruth Bernice Trump of Crawfordsville, Indiana.; Hassan Taki of Fort Wayne, Indiana.. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren, 8 great, great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home (105 W 3rd St, Peru, IN 46970). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
