With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Wayne Jones of Peru, Indiana, born in Fort Smith, Arkansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 9, 2026 at the age of 86. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Carroll Jones and Jessie Varnell Jones (Overbey); and his siblings, Walter Carroll Jones, Jr. and Beverly Gail Jones (Cogburn). He is survived by: his wife Donna Jane Burrous; his sons, Wayne Edward Jones Jr. (Mary), David Anthony Jones (Peggy) and Robert Riley Jones (Jessica); and his grandchildren, Shannon Marie (Luke), Colin Maxell (Shelby Shipper Fiancée), Ryan Anthony, Landon David, Riley Allyn, Lydia Jane, Jackson David and Nolan Anthony.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to EastPointe Bible Church (Missions), 1540 E Paw Paw Pike, Peru, IN (46970).
