It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joy Ellen Wilson of Petersburg, Indiana, who passed away on December 10, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Reed and Vangel Reed (Evangline Gladish); her husband Emil Wilson; and her sister Dixie Reed. She is survived by: her children, Michael W Wilson (Brenda), Dennis L Wilson and Janet S Hamm (Michael); her grandchildren, Susan Sluder (Bryan), Michael Wilson (Dana), Penny Myers (Rod) and Justin Hamm (Adrienne); her friend Mike Meadows; her great grandchildren, Alli Betz (Eric), Shelby Hawthrone (Bradley) and Matthew Meadows; and her great great grandchildren, Lilly, Owen, Carter Wilson, Josie Frederick, Georgia Frederick, Chase Betz and Ady Betz.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Walnut Hills Cemetery (1108 N Vincennes Ave, Petersburg, IN 47567).
Parkinson took her vocal cords to their limit and had a difficult time talking at the end.
