He was predeceased by: his parents, Corbin Arnett and Minerva Arnett (Hackworth); his wife Joyce Gibson; and his siblings, Claude, Paul, Mildred and Cleo.

He is survived by: his daughters, Tina Burkhart (Wayne), Kristi Higgins (Patrick), Sherri Shepherd (Chris) and Staci Sigler (Jason). He is also survived by ten grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
