He is survived by: his wife Judy Chappell; his children, Jerrod Childers of Warsaw and Jessica Cameron (Shane) of Fort Worth, TX; his grandchildren, Dylan Childers (Hailey), Caleb Childers, Olivia Childers and Hadyn Cameron; his great grandchild McCoy Childers; and his sisters, Opal Hopkins, Yvonne Hyden (Frank), Nola Hopkins and Mary Crider. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Oakwood Cemetery (421 N Maple Ave, Warsaw, IN 46580).
