He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale Plew and Frances Plew (Rush); his sister Barbara Faris; his nephew Chris Plew; and his brothers-in-law, Wayne Phillips and Terry Faris.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Plew of Pierceton; his daughter Jo Ellen Deaton (Jerry) of Warsaw; his grandsons, Jacob Deaton of Milford and Jarrod Deaton of Larwill; his great grandchildren, Jaxxon Max Maull-Deaton and Ava Deaton; and his brother Alfred Plew (Elaine) of Decatur. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 5th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home (600 Countryside Dr, Columbia City, IN 46725). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 5th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton, Memorial contributions in memory of Bob may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
