She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald James Wood and Ethel Wood Thompson; her husband Steven Shirley; her siblings, Ella Watson (Ken), Bill Wood, Winnie Willin (George) and Donald James Wood Jr.; and her brothers-in-law, Gale Maleport and John MacDougall.

She is survived by: her children, Russell Shirley and Kimberly Regalado; her grandchildren, Nicholas Shirley Sentany, Thomas Batic, Grace Regalado and Kylee Regalado; her siblings, Fred Wood (Marge), Robert Wood (Sherie), Patricia Maleport, Judy Ramsower (Gary), Linda MacDougall, Raymond Wood (Terri), Penny Wood, Terri Wood, Steven Wood and Timothy Wood (Jill); and her sister-in-law Rhonda Wood. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
