Carolyn will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Carolyn by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Carolyn is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Carolyn’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Joseph Fischer and Esther Veronica Coslett Fischer; her daughter Julie Yocum (late Jerry Tennis); and her siblings, Mary Ann and Bernard.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Jordan Shake and Tasha Baker (Troy); Mary Jo Whallon Porter and Samantha Shake. She is also survived by her great grand children.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fitzpatrick Funeral Home (220 North 3rd Street, West Terre Haute, IN 47885). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you use those funds to treat your family to dinner, a movie, or another special activity.
