He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Armstrong and Valvatta Armstrong (Krause); his brother Robert "Bugs" Armstrong; and his grandchildren, Misty Lynn Armstrong, Richard Michael Armstrong and Donald Lee Armstrong.
He is survived by: his wife Lula Armstrong (Elmore); his children, Sheryl Lynn Bass of Greenfield, IN and Michael Lee Armstrong of Clayton, IN; his grandchildren, Molly, Jessica Armstrong, Jennifer Gattung and Steven Bass; and his son Dick. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
