She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Cure and Velma Cure Ballard (Mattocks); her former husband Kenny Palmer; her sisters, Louise Taylor, Ruth Aranjo and Mary Shrake; her daughter Kathy Palmer Wallace; her husband Larry; and her stepchild Jerry Smith.
She is survived by: her daughter Jeana Palmer McGriffin (Jack); her son-in-law Jerry Wallace (late Kathy); her granddaughters, Kim Wallace Bain (Joe), Christy Wallace Watts, Katie McGriffin Slaughter (Conrad) and Shelby McGriffin Metz (Brad); and her sons, Ronald Smith (Anita), Bill Smith (Carol) and Rick Smith (Cindy). She is also survived by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Carlisle - Branson Funeral Service & Crematory (39 E High St, Mooresville, IN 46158). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the White Lick Cemetery (13340 N White Lick Rd, Mooresville, IN 46158).
