She was predeceased by: her parents, William Heckathorne and Marie Heckathorne (Stewart); her husband Bobbie Burke; her siblings, Wilma Hart, Carolyn Sanders, Margaret Barger, Wanda Sisk and John Heckathorne; and her sons-in-law, Mark Cosby and Alan Cunningham.
She is survived by: her children, Melannie Kirsch (Larry), Bobbie Burke (Sandy), Donna Cunningham and Bonnie Cosby; her sister Delores Jackson; and her sister-in-law Beth Heckathorne. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home (106 Shaw St, Plainfield, IN 46168). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
