We bid farewell to Honar Mae Tate of Plainfield, Indiana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 17, 2025 at the age of 95. Honar touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Aaron Riggs and Mable Riggs; her husband John Tate; her daughter Caroline Robson; and her sisters, Monzell Brown and Bernice Riggs.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kelly Bassler (Tom) and Angela Tate; her son-in-law Stan Robson; her grandchildren, Erin Minner (David), Trent Robson (Erica), Megan McCoy, Morgan McCoy (Andrew), Breanne Dilger (Jayson) and John Bassler II (Amanda); her great grandchildren, Cayden, Ashton Minner, Tinsley Robson, Everett Trefny and John Bassler III; and her sisters, Esther Armstrong, Sharon Fauquher and Patricia Ready.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Plainfield United Methodist Church (600 Simmons St, Plainfield, IN 46168). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at the Fairfield Friends Cemetery (7040 S County Rd 1050 E, Camby, IN 46113).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Plainfield United Methodist Church's Last Saturday Lunch program or the Hendricks County Animal Shelter.
