He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Joseph Schanz Jr. and Iris Loraine Moore; his brother Dean Allen Schanz; and his daughter Jillienne Lee Schanz. He is survived by: his brother Donald "Donnie" Curtis Schanz (Deborah Robertson); his daughters, Jaymie Leigh Wells (Christen Bryant) and Skye Amber Wells; his stepdaughter Heidi Regina Munroe Viers (Ed Viers); his granddaughters, McKenzie Regina Viers-Edmondson (Aaron Edmondson) and Reigan Regina Fields (Averie Fields); his great grandchildren, Edward Edmondson, Emmett Edmondson, Everett Edmondson, Grayson Fields and Weston Fields; and his nephews, James Schanz (Lisa) and Dewayne Shanz (Kasey).
