With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Samuel L. Scherschel of Plainfield, Indiana, born in Bloomington, Indiana, who passed away on March 11, 2022 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Scherschel and Blanche Scherschel; and his son Scott. He is survived by: his wife Paula; his children, Theresa Grove (Trevor) and Brian Scherschel; his stepchildren, Erin Stultz (Rob) and Heather Zerfass (Ken); his grandchildren, Katherine Grove and Nicholas Grove; his stepgrandchildren, Abigail, Isabella, Alexis, Jacob, Elena, Maxwell, Mason and Ethan; and his siblings, Martha Becher (Richard), Anthony Scherschel (Shirley), Jeanette Carr (Edward), Daniel Scherschel (Sondra) and Leo Scherschel (Patricia). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
