He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Smith (Stump) and John T. Smith. He is survived by: his wife Susie K. Smith of Plainfield; his sons, Thomas A. Smith (Kimberly), Andrew J. Smith (Tina) and Michael S. McArtor; his sister Susan E. Johnson (James); his grandchildren, Owen, Luke, Drew, Danica Smith, Shelby Woods, Maggie and Wyatt Smith; and his niece Rachel Rush. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hall-Baker Funeral Home (339 E Main St, Plainfield, IN 46168). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at the same location.
