Velma Norene Servies Obituary

It is with sadness that the passing of Velma Norene Servies of Plainfield, Indiana is shared. Velma, born on June 27, 1935, passed away on October 23, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Velma will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Velma by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Velma is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Velma’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Lee and Zula Hazel Cope Wall; her husband Max B. Servies; and her sisters, Jean Baker and Lou Douglas.

She is survived by: her daughters, Robin Hakala (Karl), Paris Brannon (Mike), Kim Fletcher (Brian) and Jamie Southwood (Keith); and her sister Lorma Hale. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Bethany Cemetery.
