Verna Raines Obituary
We are sad to announce that on May 4, 2020, at the age of 86, Verna Raines (Plainfield, Indiana), born in Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cleo Christian and Maryanne Christian (Novak); her husband George Wiley Raines; her son Daryl Raines; and her siblings, Charles, Betty, Edna and Jimmy.
She is survived by: her children, Jerry Raines of Jasonville, Doug Raines (Claudette) of Indianapolis, Jim Raines of Indianapolis, Denny Raines (Mary) of Greenfield, Anna Peacock (Bill) of New Palestine and Marilyn McClelland (Bill) of Brazil; and her siblings, Dorothy and Harold. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; several great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association at alz.org or Plainfield Healthcare Center - Caring Hands Unit through the funeral home.
