He is survived by: his wife Suzanne Phend of Plymouth; his in-laws, Jim and Cathy Phend of Plymouth; his siblings-in-law, Josh Phend (Abbey) of Plymouth and Rebecca Phend (Anthony) of Evanston, IL; his parents, Kevin Smith and Julie Smith of Warsaw; his sisters, Sarah Barlow (Trent) of Warsaw and Chase Smith of San Diego, CA; his grandmothers, Gail Robbins of Kokomo and Arlene Smith of Amboy; his cousin Curtis Robbins of Indianapolis; and his uncles, David Relos, Jerry McGlocklin and Anthony.
