He is survived by: his parents, Roger Hellinga and Sally Hellinga (Beagles); his wife Julie Merrick; his son Nick Hellinga; his grandchildren, Cameron and Harlow; his son Jake Hellinga (Stacy); his grandchildren, Megan, Merrick, Andrew, Emily and Daniel; his daughter Samantha Thompson (Adam); his grandson Theodore; and his sister Tamara Graber (Jeff).
