He was predeceased by: his parents, Francisco Alvarez and Rosa Alvarez; and his siblings-in-law, Salvador Rodriguez and Sylvia Alvarez. He is survived by: his wife Pamela C. Alvarez; his children, Carlos Alvarez, Jr., Alejandro Alvarez, Maria Ines Lopez (Miguel) and Nicole Barnes (Barney); his siblings, Francisco Alvarez, Alberto Alvarez (Amelia) and Juanita Rodriguez; his grandchildren, Cassandra, Miguel III, Nilda, Alexis, Desiree, Jasmin, Ysabel, Maribel, Anabella, Kameron, Alejandro Jr., Alejandra and Deacon; his great grandchildren, Marcos, Sandro, Armando and Delilah; and his brother-in-law Homer Farley. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
