He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Sass, and Virginia Sass, Sr. (Geyer); and his siblings, Penny Garbacik, Barbara Braddy, Louis Sass and Walter "Pete" Sass.
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Glancy; his children, Kristy Sammelman (Delbert, Jr.) of Michigan City, IN and Brian Manthey (Paulette) of Michigan City, IN; his grandchildren, Evan Ewy, Jillian Ewy and Brianna Miranda (Justin); his great grandchildren, Adaline and Violet; and his sisters-in-law, Pat Russell of Portage, IN, Sue Harmon (John) of Michigan City, IN and Doris Sass of Princeton, NC. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
