It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cheryl McGaffney in Portage, Indiana, born in Gary, Indiana, who passed away on September 1, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Jentzen and Marjorie Elkins; her former husbands, Mario Chavez and Robert McGaffney; and her grandson Joshua Kelley.
She is survived by: her children, Dolores Kelley (Raymond), Holly Ambrose (Jim) and Stacy McGaffney (Stephanie); her grandchildren, David Kelley, Matthew Kelley (Heather), Blake Kelley (Monica), Jennifer DeShane (Chad), Jacob Janiszewski (Hayley), James Ambrose and Wes Ambrose; her great grandchildren, Lily Gayton, Keira Kelley, Jayden Odle, Emily Kelley, Keagan Kelley, Madison Janiszewski and Madalyn Kelley; and her pets, Jynx and Iris. She is also survived by Nana to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
