With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ethel F. Smith of Portage, Indiana, who passed away on February 16, 2023 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Brittie Pierson (Thompson) and Stanley Pierson; her husband Theron Smith; her siblings, Bonnie Worstell (Kenneth), Judy Thompson (Hershel), Barnett Pierson (Kathleen), Geraldine, Alfard Pierson (Donna) and David Pierson; and her brothers-in-law, James, Loren and Donald Smith.

She is survived by : her close friends, Faye, Bill, Harry, Alice, June and Jean; her grandson Kevin Smith (Erika); her brother-in-law Bill Smith (Helen); and her nieces and nephews, Sharon, Jimmie, Hershel Thompson (Debbie), Marilyn Compton (Scott), Thomas, Tim York, Becky Stout (Danny), Connie Eads, Angie Whisnant, Kris Bryant (Eric), Kenneth Pierson (Connie), Janice Nichols (Tom), Stanley Pierson (Hector), Christine LaCrosse, Vicki Bowen, James Smith, Susan Hubbell, Diane Smith, David Smith, Hollie Green, Kay Downing (John), Janice Barbero (Martin), Glenn Smith, Diane Roberts and Steven Smith.
