He was predeceased by: his father George B. Cherry. He is survived by: his wife Jackie; his children, Michelle Anderson (Mark), Tamara Loomis (Mark), George Cherry (Susan) and Scott Cherry (Sandy) of Portage; his grandchildren, Derek Anderson (Jeni), Christopher Anderson (Cora), Karli Hansen (Sean), Neil Anderson (Veronica), Autumn Dexter (Ryan), Megan Huntsinger (Bill), Hillary Bortoli (John), Scott, Jr. Cherry (Fern), Ryan, Christian and Nathan Cherry; and his sister Susan Rollins (Bill). He is also survived by 19 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews who considered him a father figure; and many dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to St. Agnes Adult Center.
