He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Collins and Virgie Collins; and his brothers, Ray, Paul and John.

He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Collins; his children, Cindy Evett (Deon), Theresa Collins, Joseph Collins (Patty) and Bryan Collins; his grandchildren, Jared Collins, Amanda, Noah Evett and Thomas Hancock; and his sisters, Betty Vaughn and Pauline Vacherlon (Ed). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, grand nephews and grand nieces.
